In September 2016, China Oceanwide Holdings bought the Atlantis site- 3 parcels totaled $232.5 million.
As of today, no sign of construction due to the construction cost- Honolulu has the third-highest in the nation. They feel that the number of new projects that are being built currently it somehow makes the cost even higher. Construction costs may be stabilized more after those projects are completed.
However, they are still determined to build Atlantis, a 1400 room resort, and have no intention of selling its Ko Olina Properties.
