Starting Oct 15th, 2020, Hawaii plans to open the trans-pacific flights. Hawaiian Airline will offer drive-thru testing program near LA and SF international airports.
$90 for result in 36 hours or $150 for same-day results.
Currently, Hawaii will accept the PCR testing result but not the one you do the test on yourself and sending out to the lab. Without the acceptable testing result, one will still do the 14-day mandatory quarantine in the hotel room or airbnb place.
If your result comes out on the 2nd day of your arrival, your 1st day in Hawaii will still need to be quarantined. The-pre-testing program is a good news to Hawaii's economy and already we see people start to book their trips here.
